The Conclusion of the Jack Cohen Series!

Following their sudden departure from the School Street apartment, Jack Cohen and his best friend, Wendy Hasty, search for a temporary place to call home while outrunning the Shadow Man that continues to hunt them. When a family emergency at the start of the pandemic forces Director Janet Sherman to leave New Hampshire, she asks Jack and Wendy to “farm-sit” and care for her animals while she is away. It seems like the perfect place to regroup and hide from their enemy.

 By day, Hope Farm seems like a happy little utopia where Jack dreams of his future. One which he hopes will include Wendy going to Dartmouth with him. By night, the atmosphere in the house becomes frightening. It doesn’t help that a lone coyote has started sniffing around the farm, lurking in the shadows, searching for a meal, or that family secrets are buried in the cellar.

 While the world changes amid the pandemic, Jack begins to doubt his future as their safe haven becomes less secure. And even though his strength is starting to return, according to Dr. Peters, his brain is a ticking time bomb. A final surgery could fulfill Jack’s lifelong dream of ridding himself of his blasted ‘gift’ once and for all. However, without his gift, he and Wendy would be vulnerable should the Shadow Man return.
